Men's Sun Belt Conference Tournament seedings

-Note: No. 1 through No. 3 seeds gets a 1st round bye, while No. 4 through No. 8 host 1st round games against No. 9 through No. 13 seeds. Each team's conference record is included by their name.

1. South Alabama (16-2) -Earned No. 1 spot by winning SBC East over WKU (16-2). The Jags defeated the Hilltoppers in each of their two head-to-head matchups to claim the tiebreaker.

2. UALR (11-7) -The Trojans 59-54 victory over Louisiana-Monroe allowed the team to capture the SBC West Division title. If they had lost they would have fallen all the way to the No. 5 seed.

3. Western Kentucky (16-2) -The SBC has a legit shot at getting 2 NCAA Tournament teams this year with USA joining the Hilltoppers in making dominating non-conference and conference runs.

4. Middle Tennessee (11-7) -The Blue Raiders claimed a tiebreaker over Louisiana-Lafayette by defeating the Ragin' Cajuns in a head-to-head meeting. MT will host No. 13 seed Louisiana-Monroe (4-14).

5. Louisiana-Lafayette (11-7) -The Ragin' Cajuns lost a tiebreaker to UALR for SBC West title and will have to play No. 12 Troy (4-14).

6. North Texas (10-8) -Less than a week after defeating ASU 82-77 in Denton, the Mean Green will host the Indians (5-13) again.

7. Florida Atlantic (8-10) -The Owls will host conference and instate rival Florida International (6-12) in 1st round action.

8. New Orleans (8-10) -The Privateers lost 79-77 at home to North Texas in their regular season finale to drop to the No. 8 seed. If they had defeated UNT, UNO would have been the No. 6 seed on virtue of a tiebreaker. Instead, they will host No. 9 Denver (7-11).

9. Denver (7-11) -Will travel to the Big Easy to play New Orleans.

11. ASU (5-13) -The Indians used a 75-64 win over ULM in their regular season finale and a little luck to move to the No. 11 seed. Now, they'll try to end a 3-game losing streak to North Texas in the 1st round of the SBC Tourney.

12. Troy (4-14) -Will play Louisiana-Lafayette.

13. Louisiana-Monroe (4-14) -The Warhawks were expected to be at the top of the SBC West and not the last overall seed in the SBC Tournament where they will take on No. 4 Middle Tennessee.
